PubWorX is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to assist in managing email marketing activities aimed at driving subscription acquisition. This is an exciting opportunity to drive daily email marketing efforts across leading magazine brands. He/she will work with a talented team of marketers to generate subscription revenue for clients that include some of the largest magazine publishers. The position will support the Director of Email Marketing as well as the Manager of Email Marketing



Areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to the following:


  • Management and implementation of the email contact strategy including the planning and coordination of client emails in support of the Email Marketing Manager and Director.
  • Assist in lead generation and other email universe growth tactics for clients.
  • Increase email engagement and ultimately conversions through developing and testing creative, subject lines, landing pages and offers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital operations, email service providers, creative services, and clients to ensure flawless execution of email marketing plans.
  • Draft email creative briefs including email marketing & direct response best practices and secure approval from key client stakeholders. Manage and submit all requests to support email creative development, landing page creation and deployment of ongoing email campaigns.
  • Review and approve email marketing collateral as well as landing pages across clients and devices prior to deployment.
  • Assemble and analyze performance reports after each email campaign as well as prepare monthly updates for client meetings.
  • Evaluate and interpret reports to assess ROI of email campaigns, actively suggesting optimizations through segmentation, messaging and design.



The candidate will have 1-3 years of marketing experience, preferably in an email or digital marketing role. In addition, he/she should possess the following skills:


  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience executing efficient and effective marketing plans including A/B test design.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, pivoting quickly in a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player whom can work fluidly with cross-functional groups.
  • Detail oriented with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of email campaign KPI performance metrics
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CAN-SPAM regulations, email deliverability and best practices.
  • Experience with CheetahMail and/or other ESP’s a plus
