PubWorX is seeking a marketing manager to strategize and execute digital marketing activities aimed at driving customer acquisition. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development and management of digital efforts for leading magazine brands. He/she will work with a talented team of marketers to generate digital subscription revenue for clients that include some of the largest magazine publishers. The position will report directly to the Director of Digital Marketing.


Areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of digital campaigns and marketing collateral, ensuring goal and brand strategy alignment.
  • Develop existing channels that may include sites, partnerships, SEM, social, and other paid media.
  • Plan and communicate aggressive marketing strategy aimed at reaching publisher goals and budgets.
  • Manage the team to ensure flawless execution of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate daily with several cross-functional teams including digital operations, creative services, and external partners.
  • Create and manage A/B efforts across channels. Analyze and interpret analytics to illustrate campaign performance and ROI.
  • Create formal proposals and plans based on data analysis and best-in-class practices.
  • Identify, implement, and evaluate new marketing opportunities to generate incremental revenue.
  • Closely manage marketing budget and performance producing reforecasts as needed.


The candidate will have at least 4 years of marketing experience, preferably in a digital or media marketing role. In addition, he/she should possess the following skills:

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university
  • Proactive and solution-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, pivoting quickly in a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with paid media, specifically SEM and Facebook
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Collaborative team player able to work fluidly with cross-functional groups
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, also able to think high-level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passionate about marketing and media
  • Working knowledge of both Excel and PowerPoint
